Our God has great plans for the nations!
"All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the LORD,
And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You.
For the kingdom is the LORD’S, And He rules over the nations."
(Psalm 22:27, 28)
I recently wrote to our foreign committee members these words: I am grateful but more importantly, the Lord is grateful for the largeness of heart you show as you work cross-denominationally with fellow members of ICCP. By God’s mighty wondrous work in the progress of history, the Lord’s High-Priestly prayer (John 17) will be fulfilled: “…that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” Jesus does not call us to compromise truth for unity. He ordains that we attain unity by love around orthodoxy (true and right doctrine). There are doctrines which you may not agree about like who should be baptized and when, and like the events to take place before Jesus returns in glory. Though these things are important, they are not essential to our fellowship and working together for the cause of Christ. When you filled out your application for ICCP, you affirmed your agreement with the 42 Articles of the Christian Worldview. Contained in that document are the doctrines that make us Christian; 2000 years of orthodox Christian theology. According to your application each of you holds to and believes the 42 Articles and this gives you a large amount of unity with each other. Therefore I encourage you to largeness of heart toward each other and I pray for God’s blessing and anointing to be upon you as you work together. [end of letter]
We invite you to partner with us in this great work and we trust that the God who made seeds will bless your investment and our labors!
