Cancer in Remission
Last update/post, I shared how this journey with cancer is reminds me of Frodo and Sam’s struggle up the slope of Mount Doom. Through toil, hardship and hopelessness, they inched their way to Victory! We have reached a significant milestone. Oasis of Hope says I am in remission! The cancer has been removed by prayer and the treatments received at Oasis and there is no longer cancer active in my body! Rejoice with us and give thanks to God from whom all healing flows.
Though the cancer has been removed, there are still some residual effects of the cancer that must be lived with or more likely that will improve over time. The most difficult is the continuing impairment of my vision due to the brain tumor surgery. We hope that over the next few weeks my vision will improve, and we also anticipate getting new glasses which will likely also help my vision. We invite you to rejoice with us for victory over cancer and to pray for restoration of my vision.
To put this in other words, we received good news from the doctor two days ago. My blood-work shows that the cancer is in remission; the doctor says I am essentially healed of cancer…in reality we all, every human being, has cancer. The question is whether your immune system is controlling the cancer cells, obstructing them from growing into a tumor. A healthy immune system will hold cancer at bay. If your immune system becomes overwhelmed, by stress, poor diet, sickness, infection, etc., cancer can grow and become a dangerous disease.
I give glory to God and thanks to Oasis of Hope… cancer has been removed from me (other than mictoscopic cells we all have); the tumors are gone. Cancer is healed. I am still recovering from brain surgery.
Thank you for prayer and your friendship.
Financial needs: This struggle with cancer has disallowed me from the part-time income work I normally do that allow ends to meet in our family budget. We also have extra expenses due to travel, medications, supplements and some miscellaneous expenses we are asking the Lord to supply. We invite you to consider becoming a channel for the meeting of these needs.
God’s grace to you,
Eugene & Edna Clingman
