Biblical Israel is NOT people descended from Abraham, Isaac or Jacob by natural descent, but the people of the Covenant, the people of faith. From the beginning those who WERE NOT direct descendants of Abraham were INCLUDED in the covenant and could intermarry with those within the covenant and so be absorbed into the covenant community. This is how it HAS ALWAYS BEEN, even since the time of Abraham.
“Thus says the Lord GOD: “Enough, O princes of Israel! Remove violence and plundering, execute justice and righteousness, and stop dispossessing My people,” says the Lord GOD. “You shall have honest scales, an honest ephah, and an honest bath.
