“If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition Every portion of the truth of God except Precisely that little point which the world and the devil Are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, However boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved, And to be steady on all the battlefield besides, Is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.” Martin Luther The International Church Council Project (ICCP) serves the global Body of Christ to assist and strengthen the Church in her struggle and warfare against compromise and false doctrine and to provide a central connecting place for honest and upright men to speak as one voice to uphold, defend and promote historic Christian doctrine, and to speak clearly to the culture in issues such as the Sanctity of Life, Environmentalism, Education of Christian Children – 24 doctrinal and issue areas crucial to the health and life of the Church.
ICCP seeks to return to the Church weapons for her warfare, foundations for her stability, and solid walls for her protection. We seek to strengthen God’s people for practical everyday living that they may be better equipped and edified, able all the more to shine as lights to glorify God in this world and to fulfill her Great Commission mandate to disciple the nations. For the past 30 years ICCP Staff and Steering Committee have been preparing the 24 Official Documents found on this website. We are now forming a National Council on Theology in various nations to review and affirm the 24 official Documents and to send delegates to the two Global Church Councils we are sponsoring in cooperation with other Christian organizations.“These Global Church Councils will meet first near Zurich, Switzerland in July of 2019, celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the Swiss Reformation under Zwingli. The second Church Council will meet in Worms, Germany in 2021 celebrating Luther’s courageous “Here I stand” speech at the Diet of Worms 500 years previously. By means of these two Global church Councils we pray God will anoint and guide our efforts so that globally, “A Line in the Sand will be drawn within Evangelicalism” which clarifies the foundational urgency of requiring church members and theologians to understand the Bible is “The inerrant, historically accurate, absolute, Word of God to mankind” on every page “and that these 24 Documents state the Biblical and the Church’s historical view on these 24 issues. By this the global Body of Christ, as much as God makes possible, will affirm that on this side of the line is Biblical (and historic) Christianity and on the other side of the line is not Christianity. Thus we seek… “To establish for the 21st century a united, Biblical-theological standard of doctrine for the Global Body of Christ, which standard is consistent With the mainstream theology of the first 20 centuries.” This is not lowest-common-denominator-compromise, but “unity around orthodoxy”. We believe the Bible provides clarity in many areas of life and doctrine, including the 24 topics of ICCP. Some of the battles ICCP fights today have been fought in the past. Yet, “It is not enough, in dealing with a present danger to avoid it by citing the fact that someone dealt with the matter in the past. If an enemy attacks today the enemy must be fought today, but without a surrender of past victories.” R.J. Rushdoony How to help
