Issues & Documents
Over the past nineteen years over 30
theologians have worked together to create and hone the International Church Council Project
affirmation & denial position papers
(A&D's). Most of these A&D papers are a
“boil-down” of
white papers written by
International Church Council Project theologians, a few are from other sources
indicated in the document. These papers will be the starting point for
discussion within the theological committees being gathered
in the eighty targeted nations and the United States. Representatives from the
national committees will gather in International Church Council Project
meetings continent by continent over the next several years.
These in turn will send representatives to an International
Church Council, not for the purpose of compromise, but to
stand in the truth of the historic orthodoxy of
Christianity, in order to set a standard of "Unity
Around Orthodoxy" thereby drawing a line in the sand
that says, "this is true Christianity, if you are on
the other side of the line you hold to something other than
the historic Christian faith."
Pray for us and with us that God will
be honored, the faith of his Church strengthened, and the
unbelieving world admonished to bow along with us before the
Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth who is Jesus Christ,
God's only incarnate Son, known and revealed in his inerrant
Word, the Bible.
We invite you to sign the
Declaration
of Biblical Truth which was first signed by the
delegates of the Western Hemisphere Consultation on Theology
held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA, August 6-9, 2003.
